Life Coaching & Personal Development

I utilise many different approaches towards personal development and have worked full time at the Spirit of Life centre as the residential practitioner and course assistant.

When people ask me for guidance I can help them in many ways, be their problem physical, emotional, mental, relationship based or even due to their societal situation. People come to me, usually for an hours session at a time, during which I provide them with help and advice along the following lines.

Physical Health
There are many approaches to physical problems, I work in a complementary way to conventional health and am well versed with the many therapies that are available. I also provide nutritional, dietry and exercise advise, enabling us to keep our bodies healthy.

I help guide people through the maze of different options that are available for the many physical ailments that can inflict us.

Psychological Health
Our minds are complex and we can suffer all kinds of mental stresses, from the more debilitating ones such as major depression, into the annoying such as a bad habit. Including difficulties in thinking problems through rationally and even existential quandaries on the nature of existence.

There are many techniques and therapies around that can be of aid in resolving these issues, some of which I can utilise myself others of which I am aware of and can refer people on to.

Relationships
Relationships can be very tricky, providing us with the heights of falling in love and the lows of rejection. Attachment patterns that we learned in our childhood can provoke fights and frustrations in our adulthood relationships, they can be changed. Our relationships go through different stages and there are many skills that we can learn to make them run happily throughout. We have many kinds of relationships; with our partners, family, friends, colleagues, associates and even with strangers. Learning the differences can help us to relate clearly, fairly and lovingly with all.

Society
The society we live in holds the many aspects of our lives together. The groups we are affiliated with provide structure to our lives. Our family household, work environment, our meeting friends down the pub or in a cafe, going to a yoga class or maybe meeting up with fellow book fans in reading group. All these social groups are important for us and being able to find groups of like minded people is important, but knowing where to go can be a challenge. On a bigger scale we can also be involved with local, national and global politics, with our local community and from that groups concerned with our global environment. I help people to identify the groups that they would most benefit being involved with.

The Session
All of the above is important, however the most important aspect of this work, is to help people find peace in their lives and acceptance of this moment, however we so find it. In doing so I present this knowledge during sessions in which I help the client from a space of unconditional care and respect.

The sessions are not just theoretical but very practical in which I use many different techniques to help you resolve issues and find peace amidst conflict.

I provide sessions at £30 an hour in Hebden Bridge. An initial consultation consists of two hour long sessions, spaced a week apart.
